Bacon's Signature Ciphers in Shakespeare -37- Francis Anon 2

The next two pages have the words ‘Francis’ and ‘Anon’ underlined for easy counting.

 



One last thing to keep in mind is that we’ll see that ‘Francis’ being depicted as a
 
‘Drawer’ or ‘tapster’ does not seem to be an accident. A tapster has as part of his job the task of keeping or adding up the client’s bill. In this sense he is one that spends a lot of time ‘reckoning’ or counting. Also of interest is on how on page 55 Prince Hal says he is a ‘sworn brother’ of several of these drawers.
